Shortly after starting the XVIII edition of the Bolivarian Games

On November 11, 2017 will begin the XVIII edition of the Bolivarian Games. An event created with the purpose of promoting sport in different modalities and in which initially participated the nations liberated by Simón Bolívar (Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador), later the ODEBO (Bolivarian Sports Organization) approved the income from several countries such as Chile, Guatemala, El Salvador and Paraguay.

The XVIII edition will take place in Santa Marta, Cali and Bogotá (Colombia), from November 11 to 25. A tournament where more than 4,000 athletes from eleven countries will compete 50 championships in 34 disciplines and fight to have one of the 471 gold medals delivered by the Bolivarian sports organization.

The participation of Carlos Vives is expected at the inauguration, in addition to the participation of great athletes such as Mariana Pajón (cycling), Jossimar Calvo (gymnastics), and Yuberjen Martinez (boxing), who will defend the Colombian flag in these Bolivarian games.

The objective of Colombia is to return to achieve the glory achieved in the games of Trujillo (Peru) 2013, but for this he needs to defeat his opponents and surpass his two top rivals Peru and Venezuela, top winners of this competition.
